Unpopular lead generation advice: Optimise your sales process.
You can skip the rest of this article... (just kidding! but this is really the main gist of this sharing )

Even though Lead Generation is more "popularly mentioned".. but is CPL really all that matters? and if no, what should the focus be on? Continue to read on while I share from my daily work on helping clients - mainly consultants and educators to get more return from their paid ads and existing marketing platform...
This is the only Client Acquisition Strategy that you need... well at least, the minimum to at least double your sales without incurring more costs..thank me later.. haha..
My question to you is: Above all the paid ads (even paid content), are you optimising your sales process?
Does you closer know how to close effectively? Does your appointment-setter or "customer service" knows how to communicate with your leads that makes them want to continue engage with you and even purchase from you and then give you repeated sales?
While Lead Generation is important - but Lead Nurturing and then Conversion are what drive sales to the business - which matters to you - consultant, educators and business owners ...
If no one buys, and no enquiries ever get converted (or do get converted but at very low rate... ) what else can be done?
This article is to help you get some insights to overcome this big big issues... especially because sales is what sustain and grow a business...
Study why your customers buy from you To keep your customers, keep it simplestudy from what worked and amplify on it.... it can be as simple as doing survey, interviewing a few loyal customers of yours. Use what they have said or mentioned and amplify it through your marketing messages - it's what make you unique too, so, shout about it.
Amplify your USP Know what are your unfair advantages are and amplify them. Use stories, personal stories, or meaningful stories... Stories attract people... and best to even connect on a deeper level with your business, your mission, your brand... it gives a special touch to your business - allowing special positioning of your business in the mind of prospects... and stand firm on it and repeat it through your content and ads.. it allows prospects to see the human behind your business.. People buy People - not brands.
1 of the biggest mistakes I see consultants do is using Brands to attract customers. that works if your brand is big, has huge MOAT or uniqueness..but to stand out, you need more than just that..especially if you want to attract ideal customer..
Study your best customers - how are they like and get more of them If you want to attract your tribe (ideal clients), you need to understand how they think, feel, do, live, their aspirations, their decision making process, their buying process, what do they consider, what do they value.. if you know nothing about this, it's hard to captivate them...
Train up your best people, your team This is 1 of the most important thing...Is your team competent in the digital sales and marketing era? Do they know how to communicate and attract and engage with customers online? Do they know how to communicate in a way that makes prospects feel understood and valued? this is important as it will help your business to get more happier customers.... when this happens, your business's acquisition cost can be greatly reduced... But first, you need a competent team. with this in combination with powerful digital tools, your business can level up to another higher level, without the increase in headcount.
Use funnel, automation tools and email sequencing Make use of the latest digital tools... some of them might take some training or learning but it does help make the acquisition process faster (faster = happier customers, better engagement, better algo).. simple ones to start with is like email sequencing, building up your own newsletter, omnichannel engagement..
Craft and optimise the best personalised scripts Make sure the reply, or broadcast emails are personalised enough for your target customers... these days, personalization wins over the size of your email/whatsapp list (although this matters too, haha).. If they don't like what's written or can't relate, it defeats the purpose of it being sent to them... so question is how to craft it in a way that makes prospect want to commit and reply? and then continue to engage? Understand what they want! This takes practice but it works wonder once you know them better... Always focus on what they want instead of what your business wants to push them to buy... Ask yourself this.. "would I reply to this message if it were to be sent to me?" and you'll get the answer that you want .... but of course if not, you can send me a DM or book my calendar for a chat..
Always come up with irresistible offers - same products but different ways of talking about it... To keep it fresh ... there's no evergreen Offer ... it requires constant testing and coming up with new ideas to "present" the products... that's the fun part of marketing, right? best is there's no right or wrong.... only experiment and keep testing... (Marketer, you get me ;) )
